Additional Cost for Use of Beach: The use of Mother of Hope Camp's private beach is an additional $50.00 per hour/ per lifeguard and is dependent on the availability of a RI-certified lifeguard. One lifeguard per 50 people is required by law. Lifeguards provided by the attending group MUST provide proof certification from a nationally recognized organization along with proof of current RI freshwater or higher lifeguard licensing as well as valid infant, child, and adult CPR/AED and First Aid certification two weeks prior to the scheduled date of the field day. No one will be permitted in the swimming area without the presence of an On Duty, RI-certified lifeguard.
Chaperone Expectations: The Mother of Hope Camp staff is pleased to prepare fun and age-appropriate field day activities for your group. However, MOH requests that each attending organization provide their own chaperones who will assume full responsibility for the direct supervision and behavior of students during the entire time of their visit. At no time are minors to be left unattended by chaperones. Chaperones are responsible for ensuring that all students follow MOH Camp's expectations regarding safety, behavior, and respectful care of the camp property and the environment.
It is the responsibility of the adult(s) responsible for the group to ensure that all chaperones have cleared a recent Background Criminal Investigation check and have reviewed the Diocesan Safe Environment Training link below, and signed the verification page with a supervisor.
MOH Camp requires: 1 chaperone for every 4-6 students ages 5-8
1 chaperone for every 10 students ages 9-18
Mother of Hope Camp reserves the right to suspend and/or cancel any reservation in the event of any act of disrespect to the property, staff, or other members of the group, whether it be verbal, physical, emotional, or electronic, as well as in the event of lack of proper supervision by chaperones and/or person(s) responsible for the group. In such cases, no refunds will be given, and the group must leave the property immediately.
